2010 Cata Theme Hotfix

I just noticed I forgot to update the file extensions for the wrapper and footer background images in 2010 Cataclysm theme. When I optimized the images I changed them from .png to .jpg in the images directory, but since my test site had both image types on it, I never noticed I didn’t update it in the stylesheet. This is why I keep it listed as Beta >.< Sorry for the mistake, here’s a new download. 2010 Cataclysm Theme (491)

    I just wanted to say thank you for both the WP Wow theme and the matching Vanilla theme. I stumbled on your site last night. It was a nice surprise to see both. You’ve done great work!

    Your time and effort is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks for the comment, I’m glad you like it

    Like it? I love it!

    Any idea where the styling is for the activity stream? The text is black and unreadable. I tried a few things but I’m not having much luck.

    • Zeaks says:

      The text in the RSS block above the content? or are you using a widget? I checked both on the demo site, the text is blue in the RSS block, and regular font color for the RSS widget in the sidebar.
      I don’t see any activity feeds on your site, enable it and I’ll take a look

        I’m sorry…I should have been more specific. The Vanilla activity stream. Click Activity in Vanilla and you’ll see what I mean.

        I haven’t had a chance to use Vanilla forum much and it’s my first forum theme, so there’s probably things like this I missed. This should take care of the black font color though.
        goto /forum/themes/2010-cataclysm-vanilla/design/ and open custom.css and add this to the bottom.

        ul.Activities li.Condensed div.Excerpt {color: #EFC9A0;}

        If you run into any other strange looking colors feel free to let me know. It’s hard to get alot of testing done to forum themes.

        Got it. It wasn’t in custom.css but Vanilla itself.

        applications/dashboard/design/style.css.

        Thanks for the tip.

      • Zeaks says:

        Same thing, different way to edit it. The dashboard style edits the stylesheet for whichever theme you’re using. Glad it worked, your site looks good :)

      • Cablespider says:

        Thanks! I hope it’s okay that we change things?

    Zeaks may i ask one question?

    How can i create dropdown menu bar ? do you want to create little tutorial about this :]

  5. Ashandle says:

    Last question :D how can i show my post images at Category table?
    Ex: WoW Machinima Just text, no image

    • Ashandle says:

      edit: I want to look like the homepage posts

    • Zeaks says:

      This should add the post image to categoriy pages. Open loop.php, around line 133 below this line

      <div class="entry-summary">

      add this line

      <a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>" title="<?php printf( esc_attr__( 'Permalink to %s', 'twentyten' ), the_title_attribute( 'echo=0' ) ); ?>" rel="bookmark"><?php the_post_thumbnail(); ?></a>
      • Zeaks says:

        I think I know why they are not displaying. Did you put an image into the post, or use featured image?
        Categories are by default displayed as excerpts, excerpts do not display images like a normal post would, only the post_thumbnail (featured image) would show so, unless you have one set, it won’t display them using this code.

        Take a look at this page http://test.zeaks.org/category/uncategorized some have an image, some don’t. (ignore the image size on this site)

        You can get categories to display the full post, which would show images just like it does on the main page. If you want to do this, open loop.php and on lines 104, and 132 find

        <?php if ( is_archive() || is_search() ) : // Only display excerpts for archives and search. ?>

        Change that to

        <?php if ( is_search() ) : // Only display excerpts for archives and search. ?>

        This tells your theme to only show the search results as excerpts, everything else will display as a normal post would.
