NomNom Update 2.0.3 and 1.7.3

Theme Updates,

Here’s a small update to NomNom Twenty Eleven child theme for both free and premium versions. The only fix was the menu thickness. Something was changed in the last update to Twenty Eleven that moved the default menu slightly which caused an issue with Nomnom.

Here’s some tips on updating for those who have done modifications to the templates in their theme.
If you just want to upload the modified file, open the zip, and upload includes/color_options_css.php and upload it to your site overwriting the current file.

If you want to edit the file yourself (it’s very easy) open includes/color_options_css.php scroll to the very bottom and change #access { margin-top: 0px;} to #access { margin-top: 8px; } save and close.

For anyone else, just delete your old theme and upload the new one, your settings and anything in the custom CSS area will remain intacted.

This fix applies to both the free and premium versions.

NomNom 1.7 Twenty Eleven Child Theme – Released

Here’s the final version of NomNom 1.7. I’ve spent alot of time cleaning things up, adding a few new features and fixing bugs. I didn’t receive much feedback, so hopefully my own testing was enough.

A few notable features:
- Added mobile menu style. Menus should look better on mobile devices. (Thanks to Digitalraindrops.net)
- Added default color scheme colors to the bottom of submenus (was appearing white with all schemes).
- Added 5 new Google fonts Ubuntu, Droid, Playfair, Lato, Rokkitt
- Added a footer menu area.
- Added new wp-pagenavi styles and new default page navigation styles CSS3.
- Added functions to display adsense ads on single posts and pages. 468×60 and 250×250. One displays at the bottom, the other within the post top left.
- Added function to display copywrite year based on first and last published post date, displays in the footer.
- Added a custom child dark color scheme function to fix color issues (navigation, footer menu, wp-pagenavi etc) and allow styling of it.
- Added a new Help & Tips tab with instructions, css snippets and links to snippets on the forums. Will update as needed.
- Added IE conditional stylesheet styleIE.css
- Added a custom-functions.php to users to include their own functions.
- Added a site wide comment switch. This will turn the “Leave a reply” link, comment form, and comments on/off on all posts and pages.

*The social icon widget area and widget from the betas were removed, they caused too many issues with all the different layouts and font sizes.

Check the changelog for a list of all changes. If you notice an issue, please post a comment so I can fix it.

This is a major update, please backup your current theme before using this.

NomNom 1.5 – Twenty Eleven Child Theme and Plugin

I’ve just finished a major update of NomNom child theme. There’s lots of changes and new features in this release. Nivo slider has been added to the header with options which is one of the new features.

I’ve also as of version 1.5 removed all shortcodes from NomNom theme. If you were using these shortcodes, don’t worry, I’ve created a plugin which will allow you to keep using them or start using them if you want. You can grab that here

Added a class to the body element for all custom layouts .custom-layouts, this will effect all custom layouts.
Fixed header resizing for narrow left/right layouts. (Changed width to max width)
Increased narrow sidebar left and right width by from 850px to 875px.
Adjusted recent related posts position.
Fixed comment list on attachment page.
Fixed attachment page layout for all layouts. *Thanks Steve for pointing that out
Set width and position of comments for custom layouts to match default.

TwentyTen Options 1.5 Download

Twenty Ten Options theme is a Child theme of the WordPress default theme Twenty Ten with several features that are commonly requested already included so you don’t have to add them yourself. I’ve tried to comment each section of the CSS and templates as much as I could so it’s easy to remove features you don’t want.

You can use this theme as is, or use it the same as any Twenty Ten child theme, or even use it as a base to create your own theme. It’s the theme this site currently uses (nivo slider disabled) and I’m using the 3 column layout.

Version 1.2 of Twenty Ten Options theme is ready, with several new features and fixes including a new Nivo Slider in the header. Thanks to Designerfied.com for helping me with the fixes! TwentyTen Options is a child theme of the default Twenty Ten theme, but with several commonly asked for options already included.  Please read the included instructions on how to change/edit and of the features.
